Orlebar Brown Thunderball Gingham Shirt
Sean Connery as James Bond in Thunderball wearing a blue Gingham shirt during the first helicopter flight with Felix Leiter

In Thunderball (1965), James Bond (Sean Connery) wears a blue gingham shirt when he and Felix Leiter fly in a Bell 47J Ranger helicopter, looking for the Vulcan airplane.

James Bond wears the blue gingham shirt with the famous blue belted Jantzen shorts.

For the 007 Heritage Collection, Orlebar Brown has created what they call the Thunderball Gingham Shirt, but in this case they push the limits of a recreation quite far, as they add a towelling fabric white collar to the shirt, making it quite different from Bond's gingham shirt on which it should be based. That's not that say that the shirt isn't well made and unique, but if you are looking for a more accurate a recreation of the Bond shirt, you could take a look at the Mason & Sons Gingham Camp Collar shirt.

The Orlebar Brown tailored fit shirt is made from 100% cotton poplin woven in Italy and has fitting darts in the back.

Now available at Orlebar Brown for £195 / €235 / $295
